How to Post Images to the Board (with, or without uploading them to our servers)

Everyone is perfectly welcome to post images to this site, as long as they are not of an overtly distasteful nature. To do so, there are two methods.

    1. Uploading images directly to our Server (the method I'd rather you didn't use)

Hit the "A" icon in any post window to open the Advanced Editor.
Click on the "image" icon from the dropdown menu that appeared when you did this.
Click the "Upload" Tab in Image Properties
Choose a file from your own computer, and upload it.

    2. Uploading images by referencing them elsewhere (the way I'd rather you DID use)

Hit the "A" icon in any post window to open the Advanced Editor.
Click on the "image" icon from the dropdown menu that appeared when you did this.
From the Image Info Tab, enter the URL of the image you wish to add.
Uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"
    Hit Okay.

Note: https://postimages.org/ is a great place to placehold images for you before uploading them...that's the way I do it.

    #2
I can't get this to work. In option #1, the system won't let me upload anything. In option 2, I am not seeing anything that says "retrieve remote file..." in the tab that pops up when I click the image icon.

      Editing a comment
"Retrieve remote file and reference locally" should be directly under the box where you paste the URL. Just make sure that box is unchecked.
