World War II D-Day Invasion Day HITs June 6, 2020

Date When Celebrated : This day is observed on June 6

On this historic day in 1944, Allied troops invaded the beaches of Normandy, France. It is the largest amphibious assault in world history. This massive, bloody battle was the turning point of the war in the European theater.

On this day, 156,000 troops from the United states, Great Britain and Canada stormed five beaches. American troops landed on Omaha and Utah beach. At the same time, British troops landed on Gold and Sword beach. And, Canadian forces landed on Juno Beach. 4,000 Allied troops died on these beaches on D-Day, 2,000 of them were American.

Please take a moment of silence today, and thank the many soldiers who fought and died for our country on D-Day.

Good Morning Everyone...been down in the dumps a lot lately, but I'm trying to pull myself back up starting today. Checking through a few things here, then breakfast. After that...a driving lesson for my 15 year old Daughter...then a little light work on the truck.

Tomorrow we might go fishing...but that's not confirmed yet.

Having some trouble getting the bugs worked out of the posting features of Otto Heavy. After that gets resolved, the release will begin.

My husband and I found a nature park, just 10 minutes from our house. We had a fantastic 5 mile walk and saw baby bunnies, squirrels, a turtle and a crane. How could I not know it was there lol
